Every day there are a large number of startups launching on AWS across every imaginable industry. It’s Mackenzie’s mission to find stories of startups that are helping to improve the world and share these stories with a wide audience.

Prior to joining AWS, Mackenzie was the Head of Technical Operations at Betterment, the world’s largest independent robo-advisor based in NYC which manages over $8B in assets. Mackenzie was a founding engineer and Head of Technical Operations at Oscar Health, an insurance startup also based in NYC, helping to grow the company to over 400+ employees.

Josh is Animoca's Head of Digital Assets Portfolio, responsible for managing Animoca Brands' digital asset treasury, balance sheet optimization and yielding activities, as well as group market making and trading operations.Josh brings over 15 years of experience in the asset investment management industry across multiple asset classes including crypto, equities, and credit. He is an experienced money risk manager having been entrusted with discretionary portfolios of upward of a billion dollars in his previous portfolio manager roles at multiple tier-1 hedged funds including Horizon Asset LLP and Nine Masts Capital. He was a partner at crypto investment manager Symphony Digital where he directed research and capital allocation. Josh also previously dabbled in entrepreneurship and co-founded an onchain DEX, but started his career in a more traditional way at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank’s principal investment desks.
10+ years extensive experience in Supply Chain Management and Blockchain solutions. After founding a supply-chain blockchain solutions company in Singapore in 2018, Alvin saw the opportunity of how blockchain technology and the increasing adoption of NFTs together could potentially disrupt the gaming industry at the time. Therefore he founded Digital Games Lab in 2021, an NFT gaming studio.
